Cruisin Solon Will Never Be the Same Again!
Bernie Golias checks out Cruisin Solon, a weekly car show hosted by Rock-N-Roll Capital Street Machines, in Solon, Ohio.
In its 37th year, the not-for-profit show has an annual fundraiser: this year was Camp Quality a summer camp for kids with cancer.
The show has a different theme each week and runs through the second Tuesday in October. Between 300-450 cars show up. Hope you will, too!
DEE & BOB WATERS
Dee has a 1971 Plymouth Cuda. Bob drives a 1999 Viper. Different decades, different styles. But somehow they make it work (plus, Bob does the dishes).
This couple tells Chief Car Idiot Bernie Golias about their shared passion.
Well, maybe it's more of a competition.
SHELLEY & DAVE ZABER & MAI SCHWAITZER
Shelley and Dave Zaber brought BFF Mai Schwaitzer all the way from Israel just to be interviewed by Chief Car Idiot Bernie Golias!
Oh, and they told us a little about their stunning El Camino, which won 5 awards at the Cleveland Auto-Rama and Rock-N-Roll Capital Street Machine's
Car Club All-Star of the Year. Can't argue with that!
DENNIS MACZKO & JOHN DRSEK
Chief Car Idiot Bernie Golias talks with Dennis Maczko and John Drsek, president and VP of Rock-N-Roll Capital Street Machines, at the Cruisin Solon car show last month.
This is their 37th year for the non-profit, and this year's fundraiser is for Camp Quality, a summer camp for kids with cancer.
It's not often that you see a fire truck nestled next to 1957 Buicks and 1924 Wintons. Figures that Chief Car Idiot Bernie Golias would find the Cruisin fire chief, Bob Shimits.
And guess who Ember is?
